In order to train with us there are a number of items that you will need. First and foremost, you will require a gi, or a karate uniform. Students in the Sports and Fitness class may borrow a gi from the equipment issue window in the IMA. However, club members must purchase their own gi. As you continue to train with us you will also need to purchase hand pads and a mouthgaurd, in order to safely participate in any sparring done during training. Finally, it is important for all club members to own a personal copy of Karate-do Kyohon, written by Gichin Funakoshi.
